Godzilla: King of the Monsters is a really fun ride that essentially gives you way more of what the climax of the 2014 Godzilla film did. While the human characters aren’t the most interesting, they have enough charm and the actors all put in good-to-great performance that allow you to care about them to an extent. The action, musical score, and cinematography were all routinely great.

It was a little confusing trying to figure out what was going on and who was playing for which side. But overall I liked the special effects and the fighting between the titans. Can't wait for the sequel.

Hell of a lot more monsters than the 2014 Godzilla, which while it made use of a more Jaws approach to the monster was still decidedly lacking. This one had more than enough monster fights, which is what I came for. More so, the human focused plot and scenes were much better than the previous Godzilla movie where they were definitely the weakest part of the film. Can't wait for Godzilla vs Kong.
