The film resonates alot with me but I have mixed feelings about it. It starts off with a great conflict leading the protagonist to eventually almost reaching his goal. As of that moment, I feel as though the mystical elements slow down the story too much without adding any new elements to push the character development forward up until we reach the climax closer towards the end which was totally unexpected and a refresher from the typical vengeance stories (Gladiator).\r\r

It was good. Some scenes were a little 80’s looking. Reminded me of the old Greek gods movies like Hercules. Many of the mountain scenes looked like you were really there on the big screen.

It wasn’t really my usual type of film that I would go and see, so I felt it had a bit too much action and drama (but that’s just personal preference). I do think that the moments of comedic relief were well executed though. Otherwise I think that some of the accents were quite obviously not real Scandinavian ones which I found took me out of it a bit, but otherwise the sets and the costume designs were very well done. Overall, I don’t know if I would personally see it again, but if I knew someone who was more into this type of film, I might recommend it to them as an option.

Not quite what I expected. A little weird at times and very gruesome violent scenes.
