The film tried to reach Thriller level the entire time and then overshot and went too far at the end, never really reaching the sweet spot of what makes a good movie. The character was written for Kristen Stewarts inability to act so she surprisingly didn't add to the films inability to deliver. TJ Miller's only role as the comic relief was too forced and obvious, and also unfunny. Not good.

Underwater has an interesting concept in that it's a bunch of random ideas smashed together to make a feature length movie that doesn't have its own identity.One Part Creature feature, One Part Video Game homage (Fallout series), One Part Alien homage, All Parts Cliche extravaganza. All of this with no character development whatsoever.You feel nothing for anyone in this movie.

It was pretty suspenseful needed more storyline
