Fabulous! A wonderful mix of romance, comedy, the dynamics of balancing family relationships with different cultures and norms. All of the characters were fully fleshed out and you felt you knew each of them and where they were coming from. Loved seeing the focus on female relationships in Asian culture too. Plus details like familiar songs in Asian were great. My husband loved it too!

very funny and touching

So great! Lived up to the expectations I had after reading the book. Loved all the music sung in Chinese. and Awkwafina is a star!!!

I thought it was very funny, and very colorful. The scenes of Singapore were amazing, and the plot was was well-written. I liked the cultural aspects of the movie as well. It was interesting to see how another culture deals with the day to day elements that we all deal with.
