This is an unusual and “artsy” film. The music and sets are gorgeous.

I loved the sweeping romance of the film. The performances were intelligent and sympathetic. The music, while evocative, was repetitious, and the lyrics often wince-evoking. The dancing, however, was mesmerizing. Overall, I enjoyed the film very much.

I really liked the movie. My major criticism is the rapid reveal at the end. I think it should have taken Roxanne longer to come to terms with the subterfuge instead of two minutes
