An important film! It is amazing that the director could get people to speak freely, especially when they surely knew that what they were saying was not politically correct. The film is a sobering reminder of the ease with which malefactors can manipulate ordinary citizens to take an active role in horrific activities. It's also a frightening depiction of how young people are so easily willing to put bad actors and actions in the past, taking little or no responsibility for acknowledging or correcting their elders' mistakes. I am still haunted by the room full of young people on mobile phones.

This film brought me to tears and confirmed my understanding that average human beings can do unspeakable things to each other by persuading themselves that they are not aware of the circumstances or by simply going along. And because of this nasty part of human nature, something like the Holocaust can happen again if we don't constantly remind ourselves of its horrors. The interviewer was able to get some of the subjects to admit things they obviously didn't want to admit, and some surprising things came out of their mouths. Very well done.
