It was a VERY affecting story... Some parts were incredibly difficult to watch, but were important to see. The ending was uplifting - the portion of Mohammedou singing with Bob Dylan was great. The film successfully depicted the struggle and contextualized what happened. Like him, it is hard to believe that this was America.

I loved 'The Mauritanian'! The release of this movie is perfect during this troubling morally corrupt times in the United States. I loved the focus of the human spirit, while being oppressed. People are quick to judge or presume guilty until proven innocent. Good job!!

The Mauritanian is an eye opening and heartbreaking film. I can not wait to recommend it to my friends and family. I am also disturbed and disgusted by the american politics that kept this man jailed for 14 years without a single charge.

OUTSTANDING - every American should see it. Everyone everywhere should see it.
