Not for everyone but many would find it historically interesting. Well made.

The acting was spectacular (especially by the lead), set and costume design were both great, and there was some interesting cinematography. I was pleasantly surprised by the stylization as I don't see nearly enough of it in the genre. CGI was also used effectively, albeit it was a tad cheesy. Perhaps the most interesting thing of all was the music though. Modern and digital sounding synths were used for the score and for a period drama, that's bold... But it worked (unlike with AppleTV's Dickinson). I guess it went well with the general theme of radioactivity.

It made me think. I like science and history and was interested in the moments juxtaposing the Curies' intent to give the world a gift of science and what others might do with it in the future. I also found the exploration of Marie's relationship with Pierre very moving. At the end, I just about teared up. I found it maybe a bit long for home viewing, with all the distractions present around me, but I would've been glad to sit for it in a movie theatre. It was also beautiful to look at.
