Strong script, good ensemble work, new approaches to character from well known actors, which keeps us interested. McConaughey might've been the weakest link. I know the man can act, but even in the opening scene he was rubbing his lip/fingers like a Lincoln commercial. It settled after that, Matthew McConaughey was always himself in the role of Michael, whereas Grant, Farrell, Hunnan, really took risks creatively. I still liked McConaughey in his role, but it was getting past that first moment of him being him. Otherwise, loved it.
