My faith in M Night has been restored! The Visit is a fun mystery that does its best by trying to throw fake out twists at you, vintage M Night twists in the past that failed horribly. However M Night is able to turn a simple story into an engaging confined horror story with 2 amazing tween actors who deal with odd in laws with weird quirks. I highly recommend this little horror gem!

I thought the actors did a good job with their material. Of course, with M Night, it is all about the reveal and I thought it was an ok reveal, but not to the level of The 6th Sense. I also didn't think it was as scary as I thought it might be. But I would give it 3 out 5 stars and recommend it for friends that like this genre.

What a twist! :) This was a good movie - it was a different experience to be laughing one minute and screaming the next! I would definitely recommend this movie to others.

This is the first time that I have referred to a movie as great yet had trouble verbalizing why... if I could create a genre it would be a comedic suspense. I wouldn't say horror. Great laughs, random humor. I would grade it higher if the direction supported the horror aspect and was held by a good story line. Too many gaps reminiscent of a rushed project.
