It really didn’t have a plot

The concept of downsizing was completely unnecessary and rarely used in this movie. Once the characters were small, the rest of the story could had worked exactly the same without the "small" procedure. It wasn't neither funny enough or serious enough. Looked like it was trying to be serious about environmental consequences and pseudo-trying to make it funny at the same time, yet didn't work.

Badly written. It was just like living someone else's life. There seemed to be no purpose to the movie. I am not much into social media where I really care what someone had for breakfast or that they are off to the store to go grocery shopping. When I go to the movies, I want to be entertained. Or at least have the movie be intriguing.
