Great movie

it was very good

I enjoyed the balance of joy and despair. There's an expectation that parents have all the answers and do all the right things. This film shows a child coming to terms with what is and is not true about her father, family, and the world. The parallel drawn between past and present worked, and though I enjoyed the 80s setting, I'm not sure what purpose it served other than biographical accuracy.

Loved it! Great performances by all the lead actors. Sure to get Oscar nods this year. Heartfelt life story.
