I liked the storyline except for the love story that was incorporated. I don't feel like the 2 actors that portrayed the main characters were right for the part...there just didn't seem to be mutual attraction between them. The special effects were amazing, and the whole "save the world" plot was great. I loved the aliens and the story behind how/why the space station / city was built.

I absolutely LOVED this film! The visuals were AMAZING. I am a huge sci-fi fan and the way this film took you into a whole new world was fascinating. Every few minutes I caught myself stunned at the pure creativity I was watching. The 3D effects made you feel like you were on a universal theme park ride and it was spectacular. The acting was good, the directing was great, and the plot felt straight out of a good doctor who episode. I really enjoyed myself. The only complaint I have is that a little over half way there was a scene that I felt slowed the pace of the film down a bit with the Aliens dressing up Lauraline to eat her. Once that scene ending though it picked back up and was really fun again. I would give this film a 4.5/5 stars because it's one of the best throwback 90s fun sci-fi films I've seen in a while. As a HUGE fan of The Fifth Element I adored Valerian.
