Cinematography, visuals and performances weee excellent / first act pacing was slow and could have been adjusted to improve the momentum of the film

Great cinematography and visuals and some really cool moments throughout the movie. pacing was a little bit off at some points and some of the plot points didn’t really sit well with me. Ultimately it didn’t match my anticipation and would only recommend it to film buffs but not to the average viewer.

Much too long and some scenes felt repetitive. Also, the make up (mascara, gloss, etc) on Nicole Kidman felt so out of place in a movie set during this time period. Bjork was wonderful as was Willem Defoe. The nearly naked fight scenes were silly. I would not recommend to friends to pay money at a theater to see it, but might encourage them to watch it on a streaming service if they were interested in the subject matter.
