There was no character development! You literally knew nothing about the characters backgrounds or why they were in the underwater research facility. There was no background on the purpose of the facility either. The budget should have been used on writers and less on explosions.

This movie was just dumb and far fetched. The ending was terrible. I like Kristen Stewart but really didn’t see the point of watching her in her underwear through most of the movie. I would not recommend this movie at all.

I would not pay to go see it. There was nothing really unique or new .How many times have I seen alien creatures similar to these in the movie before , the only difference instead of coming from outer space they dwell at great ocean depths. The movie did have a few really scary moments though.

Aside from a few jumpers, this movie had little to offer but murky underwater views that left me straining to see what was going on. Once I did figure out what was going on -- a sea monster -- there was nothing left to see at all. I suppose many will appreciate Kristen Stewart running around in a bra and underwear, but for me, once the very funny T.J. Miller was killed off, I was ready to leave.
