lots of good acting. too convoluted and confusing . too heavy for me

James Franco and Jonah Hill star in a slow paced movie that had little substance. The story line was dark and predictable. At times, I felt scenes like Hill speaking with the murdered woman's family were thrown in just to fill out the movie. If you like movies that are dim and slow, I'd wait for this as it'll be on Netflix or cable in no time.

For first ten minutes I was prepared for a suspenseful movie with plot twists, and was sorely disappointed by story that went nowhere, lack of character development, languorous, drawn out scenes, much time devoted to walking up halls, down halls, into rooms, furtive glances....the scenes involving girlfriend contributed nothing toward plot development. I was very bored. Good acting but poor movie

Maybe because I am over 55 but I didn't like it and would like my 3 hours of my life back.
