A more modernized version. It was tied in w/ the original well enough. More in your face, less shaky w/ the camera. All in all, not scary really. I can take it or leave it.

There were some genuinely scary moments and I thought there were a few true moments of genius with the found footage concept (camera angles, etc.) but overall I don't feel like it broke any new ground or did anything drastically different from the first film.

As a fan of the original the Blair Witch Project I can say that this one did provide a decent plot with slightly different twists and turns, it gave more insight on the Blair Witch but unfortunately, in my opinion anyways falls short. I think what drew so much attention to the original was the first person perspective. It was a new and innovative method but since then it's been done.. alot

While much more interesting then the original it is still unfortunately plagued by boring dialogue & silly motives. The jump scares I admit did get me a couple of times & the whole time jumps & forever night thing was cool but unfortunately never fully explored or discussed. There were no actual times when I really felt afraid & that's kind of sad. So it's an ok movie but not amazing.
