BOOGIE is definitely an athletic movie with a heavy story on basketball and the additional challenges in one student's coming of age story. The movie BOOGIE was enjoyable to watch with a quick storyline taking the audience to the end. The struggles feel current & real today in 2021 and the actors showcase the story very well. The dialogue in Boogie is excellent with great script and unique Chinese anecdotes. The subtitles are helpful. The cast is beautiful & diverse and talented for some very serious scenes and strong language that is present. The music is scored well and the tribute was nice.

glad to see an Asian-American storyline that's relatable. the two actors were pretty good in their first starring roles. thought huang's directorial debut was well thought out until the "eyes" portion of the movie, but i understood him trying to connect and transition the "now and then" portion.\roverall, better than expected for first-timers.\rcongrats.
