Movie followed the book very well. Took my 7 year old and she enjoyed it as well. She easily followed the story line. I did have to explain the "wolf" Buck saw and that it was a representation but she caught on pretty quick. The only downside was the CGI. I didn't care for that but over all it was a fantastic movie and recommend it to others. We are now reading the book at night before bed.

A well done movie that takes me back to my youth, with excitement, adventure and drama. The setting draws you in to live with nature. Just you and your dog. Will have to read the book. A wonderful family movie that I highly recommend.

I really enjoy the film. I wish they didn't have to use cgi for the animals but understand why they did.
