Steve Carell was terrific, but Emma Stone played the same cutesie type as in LaLa Land, which really didn't work here because Billie Jean King was a tough cookie. Also, the second half of the movie was much better than the first, which focused way too much on Billie's extramarital affair rather than on the gist of the story.

historically interesting. perfect casting for the lead actors, but not interested in King's love life.

brought back bad memories of the 70 hair and clothes.

It was a good film.
