Some might call Silence a bold representation of theology on film but, at least the first time around, it felt more like a test of patience. Even with beautiful cinematography and powerful audio effects, Silence left me simmering in a exercise of painful pointlessness for well over two hours.

Too long and it dragged on. The only reason I gave it two stars was the acting and cinematography were very well done :-(

Much too long and laborious. There was very little ebb and flow with the movie, just constant drudgery, with little payoff at the end.
