Great movie.

Thought provoking for sure. Well done alien movie. Really enjoyed it!

The additions to the original short story were a bit half-baked, and some of the CGI was weak, but I enjoyed it overall.

Arrival is a very intelligent, slow paced sci-fi film that harkens back to movies like Slaughterhouse 5 and Altered States. It may be a bit too intellectual for the mainstream viewers but for those who like their movies to be challenging, surprising and thought provoking it is a welcome change of pace. Denis Villeneuve is one of the best directors working today and I highly recommend this movie.
