Movie was very bloody and gore.Not much of a story line,but kept my attention

If this was a stand alone movie and not a sequel I would have given it a higher rating I believe. Since I'm comparing it to Russel Crow and Oliver Reed's performances and story line it felt a bit lacking in emotion and wow factor. No one can compare to the previous cast, there was no emotional connection to any of the characters in the movie. Pedro Pascal was as always amazing when on screen

Recent sword-and-sandal epics like Outlaw King set a high bar, but this sequel falls short. The story drags with unnecessary baggage, and key arcs like the twin emperors' rise are glossed over. Flashback-heavy editing disrupts immersion, and exposition replaces the visual storytelling expected of Scott. Even the battles, though larger in scale, lack the original's elegance and impact.

After an exciting first hour, the movie slams on the brakes and creeps along for the rest of the overly long runtime. They should have let the original alone.
