Similar to Star Wars-only much darker story

I really enjoyed Denis Villeneuve’s Dune! I’m a die hard fan of the books, but have always been skeptical that a proper adaptation could be made. Though I felt a little let down by some of the dialogue, specifically certain lines and plot points that were missing (i invoke the silence, the knife can be in either hand, etc.) I felt that this was a very good introduction to Dune for the mass market.

I really liked it, fell in love with the brown, earthy, but cold tones of the film which are so in fashion currently in 2021. I can't wait to see the next film within this series, and I believe that this form of the story/novel is definitely most effective within a broken-up format because context is so necessary and needs time to develop, yet also a series format is quite establishing!
