Wow based on a real story —even more heartbreaking! I liked how shailene brought her character to life. Even though the ending wasn’t very happy, it was a good story.

Great story and great performance by the leads, especially Shailene Woodley. Special effects were top-notch.

Adrift is a difficult film to watch because the main characters' plight is intense. It is especially hard to watch their suffering during the last days before the rescue. The lead actors gave it their all. Sharlene Woodley was particularly impressive. I would not be surprised if she receives award nominations over it. On the negative side, the plot left me with questions:1. Why didn't she want to go to San Diego with him? They were going to be given 1st Class airplane tickets to go back to the island. Therefore, her "I'm not ready to go home" argument did not make any sense!2. I'm from Puerto Rico. Anyone who lives the ocean knows when hurricane season is. Nobody in their right mind would go out on a sailboat to cross the Pacific. Wasn't he an experienced sailor?3. Why didn't she put on a safety vest so she wouldn't drown if she fell overboard?4. Who found her? Where did she end up? Hawaii? Guam? I don't know!5. Did the real life lady never fall in love again? Has she kept sailing the world alone?6. I was very affected by this story. When I sat in my car, I screamed a couple of times and cried for about five minutes. Then I went to buy a Crunch and some Raspberry M&M's; still awake at 3:15 a.m. and it's your fault. Ha!Thank you for letting me watch Adrift. I hope many people decide to see it.
