Loved that I it was based on a true story. Wished I’d learned about Willie Gary in my US History class. Appreciate seeing so much Black excellence! As a Black man I left inspired!

LOVED it. It portrays a page of African American history. It showed how the life/burial insurance industry hired and exploited black employees to exploit other blacks, their own communities by selling them extremely over-priced burial products and insurance. Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones were excellent in the O’Keefe v Loewen portion of this movie. They won. Reminded me of the Scopes Monkey Trial. Although I feel this movies title is off-putting.

Jamie Fox and Tommy Lee Jones were cast perfectly for their rolls. Story line kept me engaged throughout the film. Clapped at ending. Thoroughly enjoyed “The Burial”. I always enjoy films based on true events. I find them educational too.

This movie had the perfect combination of wit, humor and feel goodness. Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones nailed their roles. The fact that this is based on a true story further drives home the point of the film. I highly recommend this movie once it becomes available for streaming.
