Gerwig's version of Little Women is told with wit and tenderness, and boasts excellent performances from nearly every actor who appears on screen. This is a feistier version, and while a bit long, makes effective use of skipping around in time, like a lifetime's worth of highlights shuffling across one's memory. There is something for everyone here, although it should be massively popular among girls and women.
