Great coming of age movie, which perfectly captures today's youth.

This film was really good! It was immensely witty and the characters were helplessly lost but one could not help but feel for them. Nadine comes off as a complicated teenager when in reality this is just a girl who is extremely self conscious, has horrible self esteem and is just hurt. Deeply hurt. It is very clear that the tragedy this family suffered together was also the very thing that has pushed them apart. Ironically enough it is all the supporting characters that save this film from being yet another mellow dramatic teenage movie, oozing teenage angst and Poe-esq undertones. It's a modern day coming of age film that can be enjoyed by both teens and adults. It doesn't really teach some valuable lesson at the end, although I suppose there is a lesson one could take from it. Instead it just tells a story, a nice story, and this is okay by me!

I loved this movie, I laughed, I cried and I laughed some more. So hit home on so many different levels. I have told all my friends its a MUST SEE MOVIE
