Maverick is an adventurous man but also a bit reckless breaking many rules and not getting along with superiors, which caused him to remain a captain without promotions for many years. With his good friend’s recommendation, he became a teacher to 12 cadets. I gave it 3 stars because I found it very weird that two of the Asian American cadets didn’t have even 1 line. The love story is also cheesy.

It was so-so. I enjoyed reliving old memories, but that's just what it was....a remake more or less of the original Top Gun movie. Great action, lame story line.

Top Gun was an intense movie that told the story of a top pilot's heated rivalry with another elite student, and coming to terms with his father's legacy. It had amazing aerial combat, a great soundtrack and likeable performances. \r\rTop Gun Maverick has...some aerial combat? A decent soundtrack? There's little to no intensity, and the movie is entirely about Tom Cruise. No one else matters.
