I thought this was a great family movie .. sad yet uplifting

I had read the book "The Art of Racing in the Rain" and enjoyed it but didn't love it. It was not my favourite book so I was not expecting much from this movie. I couldn't have been more wrong. For once, the movie was better than the book. The story was sentimental and played with the viewer's heart which I knew it would. Knowing all of this, I still soaked an entire Kleenex with my tears.

I was pleased it stuck to the book. It was a very well done adaptation. I really enjoyed it.

A heartwarming family movie. I wouldn't hesitate to see it again.
