Just as an aging rock star relies on you to view him through the soft-hearted lens of nostalgia, this movie hopes you'll rely on the occasional genuine laugh and heartfelt interaction to carry you past the formulaic redemption script and schmaltzy dialogue. The kid steals the show (don't they always?) Go with an open heart and just for the fun of it ... then you'll get what you came for!

A good insight to the hard, fast and unpredictable life of an entertainer, especially at the end of his career, when unresolved family issues need to be dealt with. Enjoyable movie. Wonderful date night.
