I think it may represent the mixed feelings and emotions of refugees who are torn between family and homeland left behind and a strange new land where they are not always welcomed.

Slow but sweet. I wish I knew more about why they were in limbo - but maybe I missed that at the beginning. I did not understand why they were not free in Scotland. I certainly could not recommend this to "everyone" as I know some would not like it or understand it.\rThank you for the reminder about the refugees everywhere not feeling at home in their new country

Very slow moving. Interesting story about immigrants, but I would have liked a little more back story about how he got to the island. I am attracted to Scottish films, and the depressing countryside. It was okay but not everybody's cup of tea. It picked up a little with the chicken!

A bit slow, somewhat sad, however; kept watching had to find out the outcome. Parts of the movie were compelling.
