It was a pretty good movie - had some nice Easter-egg type discoveries - some good/interesting, others seemed really forced. It definitely didn't need to be three hours long, though - could have tightened it up quite a bit. Had me whistling that hanging tree song all the way home, though. I'd read a few reviews about it that were either "brazen money-grab by the studio playing on the Hunger Games name!" or "This is the best of all the movies in the series!". My opinion is somewhere in between. Glad I went to see it, though.

Felt a bit long - the first two acts felt like a full movie, but I understand how the third act fulfilled the villian transformation. Much better than I expected overall - not a Dumbledore's Cash Grab.

A worthy prequel to the Hunger Games. Great cast and interesting story captivating the district stories.

I didn’t like the main actress but I thought the rest of the cast was excellent. The ending was intense in a good way. I was left wanting more.
