Detroit is one of the most powerful movies I have ever watched. It felt like we were right there inside the story. It could very well sweep the Oscars this year. Kathryn Bigelow had better win another Oscar. Mark Boal wrote a great screenplay again this time around.

The film played out almost like a documentary. There didn't seem to be anything out of place, the acting, scenes, and dialect all felt within the time frame. I was born just south of Detroit and was a child during this time, we moved out in 1976. But the movie really captured the feeling of that era, frighteningly so It appears that not much has changed at all for a percentage of U.S.citizens.
