It was great that the original cast from Trainspotting and the director all came together for the reunion in T2. All the actors did a terrific job, nobody phoned it in. Connections between the four friends/ crime partners were deepened by revelations that hit on a more personal level than the original Trainspotting film. Memories of their times as children helped fill in the blanks and tied together the narrative. Photography and visual effects were a perfect match for the outstanding soundtrack

Amazing! A bit too much of "flashbakcs", but it makes sense for those who haven't seen the first movie.
