James Gunn’s first foray into the DCEU is a grand slam. I was blown away, much like the squad, in the first few opening moments of the film. While I was sad to see my returning favorite Captain Boomerang meet his end I found myself absolutely loving the new additions to the team. Idris Elba’s BloodSport and John Cena’s PeaceMaker each feed off each other perfectly.

So fun! It’s exactly what I want out of a movie. It is ridiculous, surprisingly heartwarming, and comically self-aware.

Fantastic movie from start to finish. Great action, phenomenal acting, and a lot of heart. James Gunn knocks it out of the park in this gory tale and I hope we get to see more of all of these characters in the future!

It was directed phenomenally! The action and choreography and not to mention the blood entertained from beginning to end! The story was far superior to Ayers rendition of the team
