Definitely for an adult audience. Very good story line that kept you engaged through entire movie. Very few lull's. Would have liked to see him get married, or find his mother or maybe other siblings. Was a bit disappointed there wasn't more on his adopted family, just a couple quick scenes when he was making amends, but no interactions with the family he grew up with-to make him who he is.

Stellar performances by Joaquin Phoenix and Noah Hill. A sincere and intense portrayal of cartoonist John Callahan as he struggles through the 12 Steps of AA.

Actors and Actresses are excellent, good inspiration story not to give up and face challenges. Very deep feeling movie
