Gripping and thrilling account of an infamous time in history. Beautifully filmed and executed. One of my personal favourite scenes when the 1000 newspaper copies are mercilessly scooped up by a cyclonic wind gust, swirling about Getty. Masterful and brilliant performance by Christopher Plummer as JP Getty. Strong performances from both Michelle Williams and Mark Wahlberg. Young Charlie Plummer convincing as Paul Getty. We truly enjoyed this film

Excellent & engaging screenplay about the Getty family misfortunes. Movie was well-acted, especially Michelle Williams, whose face delivers the anguish a mother would feel when dealing with the petty and shrewd patriarch of the Getty family while her son is being held for ransom. I thought it was just a bit too long - could have done without long, drawn out scenes at the end after he had been released and wandering around the small Italian village. It didn’t seem likely.

Very well acted and directed. Not sure how much was really true, but pretty harrowing if it was.
