I enjoyed it. I am a Thomas Hardy and Dickens fan. My kind of movie.

Excellent period piece about a woman trying to exercise her independence and how men try to influence her.

Beautiful acting and beautiful scenery. A little too long - moved too slow in the 2nd half of story. Predictable ending. Enjoyed it despite it's slow storyline.
