It was a decent film. Some of the elements I would have done differently, but overall it was ok

The movie is a vehicle for newcomer Jackson to get seen for better projects in the future. He's handsome and charismatic--not much else.

While entertaining, it was very predictable. The acting wasn't that great either.

Superfly was an enjoyable movie, though some things didn’t make sense, some shots were narrow, tonaly inconsistentent, and some backgrounds/CGI didn’t look great. Characters were mostly likeable and the lead actor was very compelling in his portrayal. While Trevor Jackson was great not all leads matched him/had clear motivations for what they wanted/who they were. This may have been he intention to emulate old school blacksploitation films but if so I was unsure as character scenes were superb
