It was a great insight on the emphasis of the Civil War of 67 with various riots in Detroit. I am from Detroit, and was glad to understand better what happened during this era. It was a real history lesson for me!

In trying to reflect on this film, three words come to mind: captivating, frustrating, and sad.The acting and production ilmakes it captivating. The realities and parallels to issues in America today is what makes it sad and frustrating to watch. However, the history-lesson of this movie will lead viewers to look-up the riots in Newark and Detroit in 1967. We need to learn from our past.
