More interesting than I thought as someone who did not like the book. It will do well if marketed to people that it's pretty much Game of Thrones. Ends weirdly abruptly though.

It was definitely more of a slow-burn and at some points slightly confusing for those who are not already familiar with the Dune series, but, all in all, it is stunning from a visual standpoint and an excellent kickstart to the coming series of new iterations of this historic franchise in science fiction.

Honestly I had no idea what this movie was about going into it so I had zero expectations, but I really enjoyed it! If you aren't familiar with the book (like me) then you really have to pay attention, but I thought the story was still pretty clear. Timothée Chalamet and Oscar Isaac did a great job in particular. The overall cinematography was gorgeous and Hans Zimmer composing can never go wrong.
