This film is charming and represents the stories of a number of underrepresented populations: Latinas, folks who are or were in foster care and in the adoption pipeline, and middle-aged job seekers. The story is about a woman who takes a large risk and takes charge of her skill set in order to move her life forward. I can see this story line being appealing to people of all ages and genders as it moves forward a very important conversation: What does it look like to follow your dreams? What are the ethics of honesty and of lying? Additionally the film forces us to confront an uncomfortable reality in American society today: the worth of a college diploma in contrast to the wealth of skill sets gathered over years of experience and/or a concentration on a specific idea or set of skills.

I loved this movie. I've missed seeing Jennifer Lopez in roles like this! Definitely worth seeing!!!

I haven't seen a Jennifer Lopez film for some time but was actually really surprised how good it was. My wife and I laughed the whole time and I don't normally go to movies like this but was a great feel good story.
