Fantastic! Having never seen the play, I was riveted and in tears at one point. Great, deep, rich story. Excellent performances.

Although the movie sticks too closely to the play and takes a while to get going, the story eventually becomes riveting due to the complexity of the characters.

Real acting, real dialogue! It was phenomenal. Mykelti Williamson, who played Uncle Gabe, deserves an Oscar. The symbolism in the movie is relevant.
