I think the movie did absolutely everything it needed to. I went in expecting another cliché "found footage" film, but left feeling that I had definitely watched a good horror movie.Was the writing the best? No.Was the acting the best? No.Was it enjoyable? All around yes.I'm certainly glad I saw it.

It was an adequate update. Some interesting moments, snapping the sticks, tree falling, and being in the house longer, but the opening was rushed. I was also disappointed that the connections to the first movie were superficial, especially after setting up time distortion. I was hoping to see a member of the original cast still in the house. Worth a viewing, but nothing too special.

I think the first one was much more creepy. This was more of a updated version.

I haven't seen the other Blair Witch movies but this one on it's own isn't too bad. Definitely not the best horror movie but it had some good jump scares. Some of the girls screams were a bit too high pitched/loud and hurt my boyfriend and my ears.
