Totally was not expecting it to go at a snail’s pace. And for such a slow start, I could barely tell you what was happening. The first forty or so minutes were almost a blur. I’d attribute this to the film’s reluctance to provide any character depth/development. If anything, the script only wanted to focus more on using Afghan / Middle Eastern politics to tell a story about the cycle of violence.

There are the components of a great film here but it falls short. This is a case of trying to be all things to all people. The antagonist is the most important character in a spy film and this one does not have one that is a real threat. This was a case of paint by the numbers. You can tell who will live and die by the end of act one. If only the director was willing to step on toes. Disappointed.

It was a really standard typical action thriller. I didn't care about most of the characters and the way the plot went annoyed me. It also really forced that happy ending in a way that I didn't like. I thought most of the action was good though and I'm glad it didn't sugar coat the actions that certain parties take.

It didn't really hold my attention how I wish it would have. I would have been disappointed if I saw it in theatres.
