Great movie

I thought it was a very Robert Eggers movie. Great symbolism, mythology, and cinematography. Great story if vengeance and love or at least how far you would go for both. Alexander Skarsgård was outstanding in his portrayal of his character but the entire cast was amazing honestly. I would definitely see it again and recommend everyone see it in theaters for the ultimate experience. I can’t wait to own it too.

The film does exactly what it sets out to do -- tell a Viking story in a way the feels historically accurate. The film felt intense and dramatic, and there was very little lightness or humor. I appreciated that despite the violence, there was very little depiction of sexual violence (and this made the film much easier for me to enjoy)\r\rIt is absolutely a film that should be seen in a theater. The cinematography was a character in the film! \r\rI would recommend people see the film. I may go see it again!

The Northman was a fantastic movie and felt like a mythological epic of sorts. The pacing was a little slow at parts and it took a bit to get into the story, but it otherwise was a masterpiece. I enjoyed watching it all the way through and as far as I am aware, it is very accurate to Norse Mythology. The movie does not pull any punches, as well as it should not since the story it tells is very visceral and very real.
