Very well done. I wish there was more silence @ the deaf retreat. The end was quite profound and is a good way to get the audience surmising what would happen next. These are the sorts of stories that should be made into ensemble series to learn all of their stories. So much better to have a heartfelt story than a murderous film. Was glad to watch it at home so the silence was quiet as opposed to a cineplex where any quiet moment is ruined by something exploding through the wall from next door. An excellent film for advocating safe decibel ranges. Sound mixing should get an award.

The movie was very informative on the different aspects of what it's like to be deaf. I loved that it showed the interaction between Ruben and the schoolchildren and how they both helped each other learn.

The actors were fantastic! Great transition of their lives' challenges and experiences and how one's decisions affect those around them. Was expecting him to change his mind about the surgery but the ending was perfect. Wondered if he returned to the church and the school...?\rRuben and Lou had so many layers and kind of wished they had stayed together somehow.

Haunting, meditative, and so, so emotionally-charged. Riz Ahmed gives the kind of performance that people will talk about for years after. I didn't know sound design could be this good.
