This film was a beautiful experience. The natural settings and costume choices served the story well. While I did enjoy the subtle, understated portions of the film, I did find that I was not as emotionally attached to the characters as I would hope. Michael Sheen was impeccable. Overall, very well done, but left me wanting a little more depth.

This was a modern take on a historical romance novel. I loved it! I both admired and was very frustrated with Miss Everdeen's independence to a fault ... especially when she made a very bad decision! But, it's kept us talking all evening! The cinematography was magnificent and the music beautifully complements the story!
