I enjoyed seeing young Trevor Jackson step into a "grown man" role. As we have come to expect, Jason Mitchell was really satisfying to watch. Although this contemporary version of the original Super Fly was slick and entertaining, it would have been more meaningful to have added a little depth to the lead character by allowing him to be more involved and evolved in the world outside of big money drug deals and dirty cops. Bearing in mind the targeted demographic, this movie will meet its goal.

The movie was good. However, it was a little “choppy” as in the story line didn’t connect well. I also wish there was a little more action. All in all, I think it was great. Love black gangstar movies.

It was entertaining! Some things weren't well thought out. Examples are when Preist and Eddie watched Scrappy from afar, the space was wide open so the wouldn've been seen by someone. They crossed into Mexico without passports. They were in a car that became a truck. Priest beat up a cop and left a bag that he had touch with his prints at the scene. Too many lose ends like that for someone who's very logical like me. Otherwise pretty good. Dont tell the audience that the writer is not black.
